AMSAT SA
AMSAT
SA is a specialist organisation that focuses on amateur
satellites and weak signal communication.
SA AMSAT is affiliated to the South African Radio League, the national
body for Amateur Radio in South Africa. It also has strong links with
other AMSAT organisations worldwide.
Objectives
- To promote the use of amateur satellites and to encourage active experimentation in satellite communication and allied fields

To foster international goodwill and cooperation through joint experimentation and study

To encourage more effective and expanded use of the amateur radio higher frequency bands. VHF, UHF and Microwave

To disseminate scientific, technical and operational information
